Our Story
Vanpackers is a dream come true.
Gab, a road trip and travel enthusiast, discovered vanlife during his adventures in Western Canada and Iceland. Captivated by this lifestyle, he returned to Quebec with a passion to share his new love. With the help of family and friends, he converted his first van using materials found at an eco-center. That’s when Le Baroudeur was born: a van rental service aimed at making adventure accessible.
For nearly four years, and with feedback from countless travelers, Gab continuously improved his rental equipment, turning them into products worthy of the road trip community.
What started as a personal project grew into the Vanpackers you know today: a passionate team dedicated to helping people explore North American roads authentically, in an economical way!
Since then, we’ve become a reference in the vanlife world. Our expertise, gained over years of personal experience and customer feedback, allows us to offer products that are practical and perfectly suited to the realities of van travel and road-trips. We continue to offer our rental service, always with the goal of sharing our passion with those eager to discover it.
