These terms and conditions apply to all rentals departing from Montreal. Partners in other cities have their own terms and conditions, which are available directly on their websites.

1. HOW DOES THE RENTAL WORK?

2. PAYMENT AND SECURITY DEPOSIT

2.1 Full payment is required at the time of booking

2.2 A $500 security deposit will be charged on the day of your departure and refunded within 7 business days after your return.

2.3 Only credit card payments are accepted. All prices are in Canadian dollars, before taxes.

2.4 The $500 security deposit will be refunded within 7 business days after the return. It is your responsibility to ensure sufficient available funds on the credit card.

3. CANCELLATION AND REFUND

3.1 Standard cancellation policies:

Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking confirmation.
Up to 7 days before departure: the $500 deposit will be refunded; The rental amount can be deferred until the end of the current season OR a $75 + tax administrative fee applies for a full cancellation.
Less than 7 days before departure: the $500 deposit will be refunded; the total rental amount (including taxes, protection, and options) will be retained.
2.2. No refunds will be issued for early returns or late pickups.

4. RENTAL PERIOD

4.1 The minimum rental period is 3 nights.

4.2 The rental duration is based on the number of nights (not days).

4.3 Pick-up and return must take place between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., by appointment.

4.4 No pick-ups or returns are allowed on weekends or public holidays.

4.5 Pick-up location: Le Baroudeur – 8377 Boulevard Langelier, Saint-Léonard, H1P 2C

5. RENTER’S RESPONSIBILITIES

5.1 Smoking (tobacco and/or cannabis) is strictly prohibited in the vehicle where the rented item is installed. Failure to comply will result in a $250 + tax cleaning fee.

5.2 The security deposit will be held until Le Baroudeur – Vanpackers confirms that no damage has been found on the rented item. This assessment will be done on the day of return or the next business day.

5.3 Part or all of the security deposit may be retained to cover penalties related to damages or excessive wear and tear. Le Baroudeur – Vanpackers reserves the right to apply this compensation immediately, without notice or delay, from part or all of the deposit.

5.4 All rented items must be returned in the same condition as at departure (clean and functional). A checklist can be provided upon request.

6. INSTALLATION

6.1 Installation and removal of the rented item is carried out by the Le Baroudeur – Vanpackers team.

6.2 It is your responsibility to ensure that your vehicle is compatible with the rented item in advance. If in doubt, please contact the Le Baroudeur – Vanpackers team by email or phone.
