Rental Terms & ConditionsHow does the Communauto + Vanpackers rental work?
You book a Communauto vehicle (compatible model), then fill out the form above to request a camping kit rental.
Our conversion kits are designed to fit perfectly into select Communauto models.
We handle the installation — you just hit the road, stress-free!
What’s included in the kit?
✅ Each kit comes with: a double bed platform, mattress, propane stove, electric cooler, 20L water tank, sink, blackout curtains, and an indoor/outdoor table.
❌ Not included: utensils, propane, cookware, chairs, sleeping bags, etc. → Rent them from our partner Locapaq.com for a full camping setup.
What’s not included in the rental?
Here's what you'll need to bring for your trip:
🍳 Cooking Gear
- Dishes (cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, mugs...)
- Cooking utensils (can and bottle opener spatula, large spoon, kitchen knife, pot, pan, lid, coffee maker...)
- Dishclothes / towel
- Propane canister (1lb / 16oz) - available at convenience stores or retailers like Walmart and Canadian Tire.

What are the rates and minimum rental duration?
🕒 Minimum rental: 3 nights/4 days
- Minivan (Kia Carnival): $95 +tax/night
- Compatible SUVs: $70 +tax/night
Do I need to pay upfront? Is there a deposit?
Yes. Full payment plus a $500 security deposit is required at the time of booking (credit card only).
The deposit is refunded within 7 business days after return, assuming the kit is clean and undamaged.
What’s the cancellation policy?
⏱ Within 48 hours of booking: full refund
➡️ Up to 7 days before departure: deposit refunded, booking can be postponed or canceled (fees apply)
⚠️ Less than 7 days before departure: non-refundable (except for deposit)
